“The inn has a lot to recommend it, but most of its laurels stem from its owners, Tommy and Ali, who really know hospitality, know how to have fun, and will ensure YOU have it!”
Meet your Innkeepers
Ali & Tommy
Innkeepers Ali Pitcher and Tommy Dott have been in the hospitality business close to their entire lives, collectively from Hawaii to Nantucket. Prior to purchasing the Lamb and Lion Inn in 1999, they owned & operated a AAA 4-Diamond rated inn & restaurant in New York’s historic Hudson Valley.
With passion, hard work, and a dash of insanity, the inn became the smallest property ever to be inducted into the prestigious Relais and Chateaux organization where Ali and Tom housed and hosted familiar names like Newman, Jagger, Streep, Bacon, Travolta and Streisand. They hosted one of the late great Isaac Stern’s weddings, who, when asked by a guest to play his violin during the reception, retorted “Madam, you’re not rich enough, and I’m not yet drunk enough!”
Now, celebrating their 20th season at the Lamb and Lion Inn on Cape Cod, Ali and Tommy still wake up every morning ready to treat every guest like a rock star. Tommy has won several national food writing awards, is a certified Spin instructor and has a successful Personal Transformation “Life” Coaching practice (he’s also the self-proclaimed “Cape Cod’s best Elvis impersonator”, but let’s not go there).
Ali is the Inn’s looks, brains, style, finesse, dog whisperer and all-around Kitchen Goddess…and most importantly, she is the most patient woman on the planet (just ask Elvis). When not wearing her Innkeeper’s hat, Ali is a personal trainer and also manufactures and sells fun and funky rubber fish purses through her own company “Good Friend Bags” which donates $5 for every purse sold directly to animal rescue!
Eileen “The Machine”
Say it ain’t so!!! Eileen the Machine has retired???
Yes, we are afraid the time has finally come. The lifelong hospitality dynamo has decided to put her feet up for good this time (she’s tried retiring before–it didn’t stick!) and has set her sail for Pennsylvania. But not to worry, we let her go ONLY if she agreed to leave part of her heart here on Cape Cod–and more importantly, with The New England Patriots (sorry Eagles). Eileen will be sorely missed, and not just by Ali, Tom, Elena, Donka, Nikki and Pretzel, but by countless visitors from all parts of the globe. We’ll leave her photo up just in case you miss her too much. THANK YOU EILEEN for helping make the Lamb and Lion Inn such a spectacular place to visit. We love you!!!
If you have been coming to the inn for a long time you have inevitably been greeted by the inn’s small dogs…From Jeepers Creepers, his dad Gordon Bennett, and his Mom, Goodness Gracious…to the “master of ceremonies” mini-pom G. Willikers and the very sweet and beautiful (and very dumb), Good Golly Miss Molly. Of course there were our “rescue Yorkies”, little Cosmos, and Prezza. Unfortunately they are all gone now. BUT with a full heart we can say that they all died of old age. After Prezza said goodbye to us in March of 2020, Ali and Tommy swore off dogs. Then “quarantine” happened…and a month later they caved. Meet the newest member of the family, 5 pounds of crazy, Jiminy Cricket! Cricket was also rescued from Yorkies Inc. He was brought home in April of 2020 and shortly after celebrated his 1st birthday. JC suffers from an AAI luxation (he has 2 vertebrae in his neck that never fused together), so he wears a neck brace. Unfortunately, he’s a fearless, 4-legged Evil Knievel, so he keeps us on our toes. We can’t wait for you to meet Cricket!
